Christmas 2007

Hello again, well Christmas this year was another wonderful time with our friends and family! Mandie and I had a cold the entire time, but we still had fun. Today we are resting and recovering from the festivities! and trying to figure out where on earth to put all of her new toys!
We also received some gifts for our new baby on the way, there's nothing like newborn 'onesies' to make you realize you are very close to having another baby!! Luke had a great time over the break, and he was such a wonderful and helpful dad and husband the entire time! I am so thankful to be his wife!! Anyway, here is a rundown of our Holiday:

On the 23rd we went over to my in-laws house because Luke and his dad, brother, and some cousins and other friends set up their amps and guitars and drums (and who knows what else) to play music for the rest of us to enjoy. (they do this every year) My parents came to listen for a while, and Mandie got into the action on the electric drums with her Granddad! Here are some of those pictures:

On Christmas Eve we opened presents with the Grandmother Haney in the morning, and with the Cooper side later that evening. We had a lot of fun! Here are those pictures.

On Christmas Day, we got up and got ready and then we drove to Lubbock with my Mom, Dad, and niece Whitney to spend Christmas Day with my Pop-C (who is 93 by the way) and my Aunt LaJean (whose age I will keep to myself). Here are Christmas Day pictures:

All in all we realized this year how very blessed we are to be in Amarillo, so close to the people we care about the most. We also realized how blessed we are to have the things we have and to be able to provide for our sweet daughter. But we also know that the things we have do not compare to the gift we have received from our Lord, who has adopted us into His family through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ! How wonderful it is to celebrate the birth of Jesus, and to remember the gift he gave us of eternal life with Him!

Okay, so adding pictures is not hard at all. Here is the picture we sent out this year on our Christmas cards in front of our tree.

Here is Mandie with her cousin Whitney on the rocking horse that my Pop-C made (the horse's name is 'Prince') They are at my mom's house. This is Mandie on Thanksgiving Day wearing my snow boots, she thought she was so big!

For Halloween this year Mandie dressed up like a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader! And here she is in front of our house with the pumpkins, I just think this one is so cute!
I don't have any pictures of our house updated yet, but I'll take some and post them later!

Hi! I'm Cassie Haney, proud wife of Luke and loving mother of Mandie. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant with our second baby, and I am excited about our growing family. We recently moved into our first house. It's a cute place, but it needs lots of work. So far we have redone the living room, hallway, front bedroom, middle bedroom, and cellar. Our next project is the kitchen. It's going to be a big job, but I can't wait to get it done. As soon as I learn how to post pictures on this blog I will post some of us and our house. My husband, Luke, is practicing Optometry at the Walmart on Georgia and I-27. He graduated in May from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He really likes his job, and he'd love to see you too if your in need of an eye exam (wink wink)! Anyway, this is my second attempt at blogging (my first attempt was one blog about 9 months ago that never had a second post . . . pathetic I know) I am hopeful that this time around I am more consistent with posts and I can post pictures of the kids and stuff for our friends and family, as soon as I figure out how of course. I'm going to go work on that. I'll write more later!!
