Slavery Never Felt So Free :)
During this process, Luke and I both have been overwhelmed by the faithfulness of God. He has rained down mercy on us as we have toddled after Him, trying to accomplish what He has set before us.
He has created a situation for us financially in which we are not required to raise funds for our journey, making us free to be accountable only to Him.
He has guided us as we followed His voice to get out of debt, making us free from our debtors.
He has shown us ways to bless others with our belongings and sell the rest, making us free from the burden of stuff.
Early on He guided us into the decision to homeschool, making us 'light on our feet', and free to follow our own schedule and travel as required.
He has taught us how to apologize and make right our resentments and wrongdoings, making us free from guilt.
He shaped our priorities and showed us who we really are (which isn't much), making us free to love all.
He has grown in us a love for righteousness and for His will, making us free from self.
He has provided propitiation for our sin through the blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, making us free from sin.
He has broken every chain.
We are as free as birds. Praise Him!!
"Were you a slave when you were called? Don't let it trouble you-although if you can gain your freedom, do so. For he who was a slave when he was called by the Lord is the Lord's freedman; similarly, he who was a free man when he was called is Christ's slave. You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men. " I Corinthians 7
"O Lord, truly I am your servant; I am your servant, the son of your maidservant; you have freed me from my chains." Psalms 116:16
"You my brothers were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: 'Love your neighbor as yourself'. If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out, or you will be destroyed by each other." Galations 5:13
